Thomas"Tom"M. Hirschy, 70, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 4:50 PM on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Chalet Village Health & Rehabilitation in Berne, IN.  He was born on Wednesday, June 13, 1945, in Adams County, IN.  Tom was a 1964 graduate of Geneva High School.  He worked as a truck driver and also worked in construction.  He enjoyed Euchre Tournaments, playing golf and sports.

Survivors include: daughters - Tonya Curtis, Berne, IN, Cindy Coffin, Kodak, TN and Crystal (Brian) Daugherty, Ossian, IN; son - Todd Hirschy, Berne, IN; brothers - Dave (Cindy) Hirschy, Geneva, IN, Ron (Sandy) Hirschy, Decatur, IN and Derryl (Teresa) Hirschy, Geneva, IN; brother-in-law - Ken Chaffins, Bluffton, IN; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his: parents- Glen and Jean (Barkley) Hirschy;  sister - Joyce Chaffins

and a great grandchild.

A service to celebrate Tom’s life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 01, 2016 with Chaplin Chuck Koenemann officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Geneva.

Rose Mary Mayes

Rose M. Mayes, 79, of Van Buren, IN, passed away at 12:40 PM on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at her residence in Van Buren, IN.  She was born on Sunday, March 29, 1936, in New York, NY. She had worked for JC Penney.  She retired form Scott & White memorial Hospital in Temple TX.  A strong, hard working mother of 9 children, Rose had her hands full. She loved each one of her children unconditionally. She was a die- hard Cubs Fan. The Steelers were her favorite team. She loved to watch the WWE. Her biggest love was for Jesus. She is with him now.

She was preceded in death by her parents-  Henry and Lucy  Michelson ,and  Brother-  Bobby  Michelson, Sister- Tessie Walker.

Jeremy Cole Ralston

Jeremy Cole Ralston, 22, of rural Huntington County, IN, passed away early Sunday morning, March 20, 2016 from a single vehicle accident in Warren, IN.  He was born on Friday, September 24, 1993, in Huntington to Lamar and Brenda Ralston.  Jeremy was a 2012 graduate of Huntington North High School. He currently worked at Onward Manufacturing as a tool and die maker in Huntington and formerly worked for 3 years at Memcor as a CNC Machinist in Huntington. Jeremy enjoyed farming, going to races, tractor pulls, hunting, fishing and 4 wheeling. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Indiana Hoosiers fan. He loved hanging out with his brother Garrett, his cousins and friends. Jeremy will always be remembered for his good sense of humor and contagious laugh. He valued his family and the quality time spent with them. 

 

He will be forever missed by his Parents- Lamar & Brenda (Schenkel) Ralston, Huntington, IN, Brother - Garrett Ralston, Huntington, IN, Maternal Grandfather - Monte (Mary) Schenkel, Huntington, IN, Maternal Grandmother - Corina (Bruce) Bates, Cincinnati, OH, several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his: Paternal Grandparents - Thurman Jr. & Larelda Ralston.

A service to celebrate Jeremy’s life will be at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 24, 2016; viewing will be held one hour before the service. Rev. Mike Gallant from the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Etna Cemetery.

Bonnie R. Coleman, 81, of New Castle IN, formerly of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Centre in New Castle, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, July 4, 1934, to Lloyd and Mildred (Beeks) Coleman. Bonnie was a graduate of Montpelier High School. She held many different positions in the community. Bonnie was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church of the Nazarene in Montpelier.

 

Survivors include: Sister-in-law - Ruth E. (Cobb) Coleman, New Castle, IN, Nephew - David Coleman, Carmel, IN, Nephew - John Coleman, Indianapolis, IN, Niece - Lisa Coleman, Indianapolis, IN, Niece - Sydney Ehmke, Indianapolis, IN and 7 Great Nieces & Nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Father - Lloyd Coleman, Mother - Mildred A. (Beeks) Coleman and Brother - Thomas D. Coleman.

John Lewis Couch

John Lewis Couch, 73, of Warren, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 10:00 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his home in Warren, IN.  He was born on Thursday, June 18, 1942, in Marion, IN.  He married Charlotte (Lahr) Couch on Monday, June 14, 2004 in Huntington, IN.  John was a 1962 graduate of Columbia City High School. Shortly after graduation he served in the US Marines for one year. He formerly drove truck for Highway Trucking and worked for United Technologies Electronic Controls in Huntington. John enjoyed fishing, golfing and especially spending time with his wife and dog Dakota. 

 

Loving Survivors include: Wife - Charlotte (Lahr) Couch, Warren, IN, Daughter - Jennifer (Carl) Cabanas, Portland, IN, Son - John Adam (Lisa) Couch, Marion, IN, Son - Jason (Shelia) Couch, Marion, IN, Daughter - Shay (Frank) Caruso, OH, Step Daughter - Angela (Brent) Graff, Sweetser, IN, Step Daughter - Cindy (David) Hiatt, Fairmount, IN, Brother - Stephen (Delilah) Couch, Marion, IN, 23 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his: Father - Paul Edward Couch and Mother - Geraldine (Cox) Howard.

 

To honor John’s wishes the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
