Victor J. Grass, 59, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 10:20 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at his residence.  He was born on Thursday, July 28, 1955, in Bluffton and lived most of his life in Wells and Blackford County.  Victor attended Roll and Blackford Schools. He married Carol Major on Saturday, October 05, 1974 in the First Baptist Church of Montpelier.  Victor worked for Metaldyne in Bluffton for several years. He enjoyed traveling, music, remodeling houses and especially spending time with family and friends.

 

Survivors include: Wife - Carol Grass, Montpelier, IN., Daughter - Jessica Grass, Bluffton, IN., Son - Nathaniel Grass, Montpelier, IN., Special Mother - Joann Hartman, Montpelier, IN., Grandson - Damian Walden, Bluffton, IN., Grandson - Xavier Walden, Bluffton, IN., Granddaughter - Emmi Walden, Bluffton, IN., Brother- Roger Grass-Aurora, CO. and In-Laws - George & Shirley Nibarger, Montpelier, IN.

 

He was preceded in death by his: Mother - Virginia (Abshire) Grass, Son - Travis Grass and Brothers- Norman Grass and Richard Grass.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Tuesday, December 02, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A service to celebrate Victor’s life will follow at 7:00 PM. Interment will take place at Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.

Beverly Sue Hollar

Beverly Sue Hollar, 78, of Bryant, Penn Twp. Jay County, IN, passed away at 8:08 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at her residence in Fiat, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, September 09, 1936, in Delaware County, IN.  She married Bobby Joe Hollar on Sunday, June 06, 1954 in Hartford City.  Mrs. Hollar was a 1954 graduate of Chester Center High School. She also received her Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration at St. Marys College, where she then went on to be an Administrative Assistant. Sue was active in the B.P.W. located in Phoenix, Arizona, Montpelier Kiwanis, as well as being the clerk for the Harrison Twp. Trustee in Blackford County. She attended the Christian Worship Center in Fiat. Beverly also participated in the Civil War Days Reenactment. She enjoyed sewing and also renovating homes.

 

Sue is survived by her Son - Stanley J. Hollar, Sun Lakes, AZ, Son - Philip L. (Wife, Adrian) Hollar, Indianapolis, IN, Brother - Bill Michael (Wife, Sharon), Bluffton, IN, Brother - Tom Michael (Wife, Michelle), Bryant, IN, Sister - Judy (Husband, Bill) Smith, Montpelier, IN, Special Friend - Ron Maddox, Montpelier, IN, Aunt - June Reasoner, Montpelier, IN, Grandchild - Michael Hollar, Pasadena, CA, Grandchild - Nicholas Hollar, Indianapolis, IN, Great Grandchild - Alexandra Hollar, Pasadena, CA.

Shirley June Rusher

Shirley June Rusher, 78, of Fort Wayne, IN, formerly of Montpelier, IN. passed away at 3:20 AM on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, January 22, 1936, in Blackford County, IN.  She married Merrill Wayne Rusher M.D. September 17, 1976 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.  Mrs. Rusher was a 1954 graduate of Montpelier High School and also graduated from Purdue School of Nursing.  Shirley was a R.N. and was a retired Managing Nurse. Shirley was also a member of Good Shepherd Methodist Church located in Fort Wayne, IN. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her Son - David C. Beaver, Forest, IN, Son - Philip J. Beaver, Indianapolis, IN, Son - John (Dana) Rusher, Fort Wayne, IN, Son - Michael Rusher, Fort Wayne, INStep-Son - Daniel (Rebecca) Rusher, Zionsville, IN, Step-Son - Douglas (Sheryl) Rusher, Wooster, OH Sister - Joyce (Wilson) Slentz, Lagrange, IN, Sister - Sue Rinker, Hartford City, IN, Sister - Judy (Paul Gail) Heffelfinger, Hartford City, IN, 9 Grandchildren, 7 Step-Grandchildren, and 6 Step-Great Grandchildren

Richard F. Thompson

Richard F. Thompson, 71, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 1:20 AM on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Ossian Health & Rehab Center in Ossian, IN.  He was born on Tuesday, April 27, 1943, in Ft. Wayne, IN.  Mr. Thompson was a 1961 graduate of Fort Wayne Central Catholic High School and Mount St. Mary's University and Seminary, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1977. Richard formerly served as a Priest for many years. He also worked in retail sales management, was a hospital Psych-Tech, a Driver Examiner for the Indiana BMV, a Reserve Police Officer for twelve years, and worked as Adams County Health Departments Food Inspector. He was a member of FOP Lodge 127, a member of Adams County Crime Stoppers and a past Chairman. Mr. Thompson was also very proud of his Cherokee Indian lineage and enjoyed keeping abreast of related activities. Mr. Thompson was a people person of the highest order and he is sadly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him and work with him.

He is survived by his Brother - Thomas T. Thompson, Berne, IN

He was preceded in death by his Father - Richard H. Thompson, Mother - Alice E. Miller.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church 5970 E 1100 S.  Geneva on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

A service to celebrate his life will be at St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2014 with Father Bosco Perera officiating.  Interment will follow in the Saint Mary of the Presentation Parish Cemetery in Geneva.

Dennis G. Wilshire

Dennis G. Wilshire, 59, of Anderson, IN, passed away on Tuesday evening, November 18, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, IN.  He was born on Thursday, April 28, 1955 to Loren G. and Margaret Ann (Banter) Wilshire, in Huntington, IN.  Dennis was a graduate of Eastbrook High School, class of 1973.  He left the family home in Van Buren, IN. after graduation to become a beautician and worked in the field for over 30 years.  Dennis's family would like to thank his special friends, Peggy Wood and Allen Eaton for all that they have helped Dennis.

A memorial service to celebrate Dennis’s life will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Heritage Pointe-Applegate Chapel, Warren at 2:00PM
