Linda Diana (Vincent) Oatis, 69, of Marion, IN, passed away at 2:39 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, March 19, 1947, in Blackford County, IN, to Robert & Marjorie (Glancy) Vincent.  She married Fritz Oatis in October of 1968 Hartford City, IN.  Linda was a 1965 graduate of Montpelier High School. She worked at Marion Community Schools for 20 years, as a Teachers Aid at Lincoln Elementary School in Marion. She enjoyed painting, gardening, crafts, bicycling, traveling and especially spending time with her granddaughters. Linda and Fritz vacationed twice a year at Hilton Head, SC for the last 20 years. Recently Linda and Fritz bought a Polaris Slingshot 3 wheel motorcycle and would take several trips with the Indy S.S. Riders Group. Out of all the things in Linda's life that she accomplished and enjoyed, the love and devotion from her family is what truly meant the most to her. She will forever be greatly missed.

Wayne, IN, Nephew - Matthew (Beth) Vincent, Niece - Courtney "Michelle" (Brent) Pope, Nephew - Griffin (Gaby) Vincent, Niece - Kara Vincent and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by her Father - Robert Vincent.

 

A private family service to celebrate Linda’s life will be at Grant Memorial Park Chapel in Marion at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating.  Interment will follow in the Grant Memorial Park Cemetery.

Norine D. Fuller

Norine D. Fuller, 87, of Warren, IN passed away at 7:36 PM on Monday, December 12, 2016 at IU Health Blackford Hospital in Hartford City, IN.  She was born on Sunday, September 22, 1929.  She married Francis Ellis  Fuller   in September 1952.  Norine was a graduate of Warren High School. She received her nurse’s certificate thru the WWII program. She was a member of the Blackford County Humane Society. Norine enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking, and sewing.

 

Loving Survivors Include: Daughter - Kristie Fuller, Warren, IN, and Sister - Regina Coulter, Liberty Center, IN.

 

 

She was preceded in death by her Father - Norval Herring, Mother - Lela (Neebeck) Herring,

Husband - Francis Ellis Fuller, and Brother - Wayne Herring.

 

As per Norine’s wishes there will be no calling or service.

J. “Guilford” Wehr, Sr., 94, of Warren, IN, passed away at 8:20 PM on Thursday, December 08, 2016 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.  He was born on Wednesday, March 01, 1922, in Clear Creek Twp. in Huntington Co. He married Doris McIntire Wehr on Sunday, June 23, 1946 in Mt. Etna; she passed away on May 29, 2009.  Guilford was a 1942 graduate of Jefferson Twp. High School in Huntington Co. He was the owner and operator of his family drainage business, which started in 1959; Wehr Farm Drainage, Inc. He was a member of the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church. He was a 50 year plus proud member of the following: Mt. Etna Masonic Lodge #333, Scottish Rite Valley-Ft. Wayne, Mizpah Shrine-Ft. Wayne, Huntington Co. Shrine, Order of Eastern Star of Indiana #65. Guilford was a past 4-H leader, past President of the Indiana land improvement contractor association, was one of the original founders of the Huntington Co. drainage board; where he served on the board for 25 years. He was also involved with the Huntington Co. Red Cross.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30PM.

 

A service to celebrate his life will be at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, viewing will be held one hour before the service.  Rev. Edwin Clark will be officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery in rural Huntington.

Kenneth A. Doherty

Kenneth Alvin Doherty, 84, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 1:23 PM on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IN.  He was born on Monday, July 14, 1932, in Decatur, IN.  He married M. Marcella Hough Doherty on Saturday, January 03, 1953 in Richmond, Indiana.  Kenneth was a 1950 graduate of Geneva High School. He formerly attended the High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva. He helped with the food bank in Geneva. He retired from International Harvester in Fort Wayne, IN in 1983. He also worked at Chalet Village in Berne, IN as a maintenance supervisor. He was a 56 year member of the Geneva Volunteer Fire Dept. and a member of the Indiana Volunteer Fireman’s Association. He was a lifetime member and past president of Tri- State Gas & Engine Club and a lifetime member of the Geneva V.F.W. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

A service to celebrate Kenneth’s life will be at the High St. United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Michelle Isch   officiating.  Interment will follow in the  Backesto Cemetery, Berne, IN.

Michael A. Pierson, 64, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 10:21 AM on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his residence in Montpelier, IN.  He was born on Sunday, February 17, 1952, in Marion, IN.    Michael attended school in Grant County. He loved being out in the woods looking for arrowheads, and enjoyed going to the James Dean days with his brothers. Michael helped his father with their horses. He had a favorite bulldog named Star. Many people will remember Mike driving thru town always throwing his hand up to wave and giving them a smile.
