Robert E. "Bob" Watson, 82, of Andrews, IN, passed away at 12:55 PM on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.  He was born on Saturday, August 23, 1930, in Wayne Twp, IN.  He married Jane A. Zimmerlee on Sunday, August 13, 1967 in Warren.  Bob was a retired Polk Township farmer and wood cutter. He was a member of the Lancaster Wesleyan Church and Farm Bureau.

 

He was preceded in death by his: Wife - Jane A. (Zimmerlee) Watson, Mother - Delilah (Hoch) Watson, Father - Earl Watson

and Brother - Philip D. Watson.

A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home Warren at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 with Pastor Doug Sharrard officiating and Pastor Gerald Moreland assisting.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Etna Cemetery in Huntington.

Martha Helen Vandelene

Martha H. Vandelene, 91, of Hartford City, IN passed away at 4:40 PM on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.  She was born on Monday, June 12, 1922, in Hartford City.  She married Robert F.  Vandelene on Saturday, August 30, 1941 in Indianapolis.  Martha worked at Montgomery Ward in Hartford City and Farm Bureau Co-Op in Blackford, Randolph and Jay counties for 14 years, before retiring from the Jay County  Co-Op  in 1982. She was a former member of the Northwest Skeigh & Carriage Association and the Blackford County Historical Society. She had been a resident of Heritage Pointe in Warren, since 2005. Martha was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Hartford City, IN.

 

Survivors include: Daughter- Helen R. (Husband, Larry Steven) Reff, Fairmount, IN., Grandson - Charles Robert (Wife, Shana) Reff, Fairmount, IN and Several Nieces and Nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Husband - Robert F. Vandelene, Father - John Z. Williams, Mother - Nellie (Armitage) Williams, Sister - Mildred Holman, Brother - Merrill E. Williams, Brother - Owen Williams and Brother - John Z. Williams, Jr.

A service to celebrate Martha’s life will be at Heritage Pointe, Applegate Chapel at 1:00PM on Friday, July 19, 2013 with Rev. Ed Clark officiating.  Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory in Muncie.

Donald Frederick Snow, 84, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 4:30 AM on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Chalet Village Health & Rehabilitation in Berne, IN.  He was born on Saturday, September 08, 1928, in Geneva, IN, the son of Eugene and Leona (Kneuss) Snow.  Donald was a 1946 Graduate of Geneva High School.  He married Margaret Cook December 8, 1962 in Berne.  Donald served in the United States Army Reserves.  He was a lifelong Adams County Farmer and Retired Machinist from Textron in Berne.  Donald was an avid fan of Chicago Cubs baseball and also a fan of I.U. Basketball.  Donald enjoyed bowling, Ham radio and model railroading.  Survivors Include: Wife - Margaret (Cook) Snow, Geneva, IN, Daughters - Lisa (Ed) Neuenschwander, Fort Wayne, IN, Julie Snow, Geneva, IN, Granddaughter - Natalie Neuenschwander, Grandson - Nate Neuenschwander, Sister - Evelyn Purdy, Berne, IN.  Donald was preceded in death by his: Father - Eugene Snow and Mother - Leona (Kneuss) Snow. Jane E. Gerdes, 78, of Huntington, IN, passed away at 9:25 PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN.  She was born on Thursday, April 11, 1935, in Lancaster Township.  She married Eldon C.  Gerdes on Monday, December 21, 1953 in Huntington County.  Jane was a 1953 graduate of Lancaster Township High School. She was a member of the Majenica United Methodist Church for many years. Jane enjoyed gardening, painting, shopping and especially spending time with her family and friends.

 

Survivors include: Son - David M. (Wife, Cheri) Gerdes, Columbia City, IN., Grandsons - Eric M. (Wife, Sheri) Gerdes, Huntington, IN and Chad J. (Wife, Ashley) Gerdes, Sarasota, FL., Great Grandchildren - Braylon Gerdes, Huntington, IN and Claire Gerdes, Sarasota, FL and Sister - Marlene Bryan, Huntington, IN.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Father - Mark Hacker, Mother - Ina (Pulley) Hacker, Husband - Eldon C. Gerdes and Sister - Nova Dorece Crull.

Cindy L. Leazier, 56, of Warren, IN, went to be with the Lord, at 5:48 PM on Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at Heritage Pointe.  She was born on Friday, July 20, 1956, in Aurora, IL.  She married Jim Leazier on Saturday, April 06, 1991 in Huntington County.  Cindy attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Warren, IN. She enjoyed cooking for the community and especially spending time with her family.
