Wanda Geneva Chopson, 84, of Warren, IN, passed away at 10:12 AM on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Signature Health & Rehabilitation in Bluffton, IN.  She was born on Sunday, June 21, 1931, in Huntington, IN.  She married Kenneth Chopson on September 2, 1951; Kenneth passed away on August 9, 1986.  Wanda was a graduate of Jefferson High School in Jefferson Twp. She formerly worked at Heritage Pointe in Warren, Shuttleworth Tomato Factory in Warren and Caswell-Runyan Company in Huntington. Wanda enjoyed gardening, watching Wheel of Fortune, crossword puzzle books, playing solitaire, and especially spending time with her grandkids.

 

Loving survivors include: Son - Dennis (Wife, Vicky) Chopson, Warren, Granddaughters - Brenda Chopson, Barbara Langston and Grandson - David Chopson, all of Warren, 3 Great Grandchildren - Raelynn Pebernat, Temperance Langston and Piper Long.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Father - Burr Knight, Mother - Eva (Case) Knight, Husband - Kenneth Chopson, Daughter - Deborah K. Chamberlin, Sisters - Loreen Carrol, Virginia Taylor, Ruby Koby, Wilma Slater, Dorothy Spurgeon and Nellie Madelene Long, Brothers – Marvin, Roger and Ronald Knight.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A service to celebrate Wanda’s life will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mark Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.

Maxine Anderson McDaniel

Maxine Anderson McDaniel, 97, of Warren, IN, passed away at 2:45 AM on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Heritage Pointe in Warren.  She was born on Monday, July 08, 1918, in rural Huntington County, IN., to Clarence E. & Gladys (Shrock) Anderson.  She married LaMoine McDaniel on Sunday, November 09, 1941 in Huntington. Together they shared almost 50 years of marriage before LaMoine passed in 1991. Maxine was a 1936 graduate of Bippus High School. She was an avid basketball fan and player, playing for the Huntington YMCA on their travel team post high school. Maxine enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and traveling. She was a world traveler, visiting several continents such as; Australia, Europe and Africa just to name a few. Maxine has been to all 50 states, including Hawaii and Alaska. Among all of her life accomplishments, Maxine will be most remembered as a dedicated spouse and mother. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Huntington and the Solid Rock United Methodist Church in Warren.

 

Loving survivors include: Daughter - Karen (Husband, Robert) Burish, Lowell, IN., Daughter - Linda (Husband, Charlie) Howell, Warren, IN., Son - Donald (Wife, Nancy) McDaniel, Macatawa, MI., Sister – Kate Rivir, Warren, IN., 6 Grandchildren – Andrew McDaniel, Jessica Barry, Stuart McDaniel, Mack Howell, Alex Howell, and Bob Wood and 13 Great Grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Husband - LaMoine McDaniel, Parents - Clarence E. & Gladys (Shrock) Anderson, Daughter - Diana Wood, Son- in- Law - Jim Wood, 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel 801 Huntington Ave. Warren on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

 

A service to celebrate Maxine’s life will be at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2015; viewing will be held one hour before the service.  Pastor Dave Smitley will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Etna Cemetery in Huntington County.

David B. McVay

David Brian McVay, 54, of rural Marion. IN., passed away at 6:11 PM Sunday evening, Sept. 13, 2015, at his residence with his family at his side. He married Candy June Hix on June 1, 1980 and they just recently celebrated 35 years of a wonderful marriage. He was born June 27, 1961 in Fort Wayne to David and Linda McVay of Marion, IN. David graduated from Eastbrook High School class of 1979.  He and his wife attended Farrville Community Church, Farrville, IN., For 10 years David worked at Weaver Popcorn in Van Buren, IN. He retired from Chrysler in Kokomo as an electrician with 25 years of service. He also enjoyed farming as a side occupation. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School class and Jr. Church in his younger years. David was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He also loved to travel, sing, and spend time with his family.  He will be missed by his loving Wife-Candy June McVay of Marion, IN, Mother- Linda (Claude) Rust of Marion, IN, Daughters- Bryana Jo (Luke) Turner of rural Marion, Jenni Lee (Matt) Brown of rural Van Buren, Tabitha Rae (Nate) DeLong of Upland, IN, Grandchildren- Abigail Turner, Carmela Turner, Ollie Turner, Cameron Turner, Ella Rose Turner, Madison Brown and Mylee Brown. Brother- Bill (Amy) McVay of Minnesota, Sisters- Mindy (Terry)Himelick of Upland, IN, Monica Miller of Marion, IN, Margie Parker of Columbia City, IN and Martha (Kevin) Kennedy of Columbus, IN, Mother-IN-Law- Jondajane Hix of rural Marion, IN.

David was preceded in death by his Father, David Lee McVay and Father-IN-Law- Gene Hix

As with David’s wishes, no services will be held, Internment will be in the Van Buren Cemetery at a later date.

Anna Olena Jane (Watson) White, 80, passed away at 6:00 AM at Bridgewater Centre in Hartford City, IN. September 24, 2015. She was born on January 23, 1935 in Dunkirk, IN. She married Donald M. White on July 3, 1955 in North Webster, IN.  Anna graduated from Dunkirk High School. She retired from Gripco  in Montpelier. Anna was a 50 year member of the Millard Brown American Legion Post 156 Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and especially spending time with her family whom she held so dear to her heart.

Loving Survivors include: Son- Terry (Wife, Kathy) White, Montpelier, IN.; Grandchildren- Shad (Wife, Heather) White, Montpelier, IN.; Daphne (Husband, Robert) Riggs, Montpelier, IN., and Holly (Husband, Oscar) Ugalde, Montpelier, IN.; brothers- Robert Watson, Anderson, IN., Harry Watson, Farmland, IN., and George Watson, Dunkirk, IN., and 14 Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Husband- Donald M. White; father- Harry Watson, and mother- Lydia B. (Adkins) Watson.

Dannie Lee Morris, 77, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 11:46AM  on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at IU Health-Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.  He was born on Wednesday, December 15, 1937, in Blackford Co., IN.  He married Judy Peck on Saturday, April 02, 1960 at the  Mt. Carmel U.M. Church.  Dannie was a 1955 graduate of Montpelier School. He was a Blackford County farmer. He had worked for Box USA. Dannie was on the Blackford County Hospital Board. He enjoyed bowling, and golfing. He sponsored his son's Racing, and was an active vocal participant in his children’s sports. He was a member of the American Legion, and had served his country in the US Army. Loving Survivors include: Wife - Judy M Morris, Hartford City, IN., Son - Eric L. Morris, Hartford City, IN., Son - Marc W. Morris, Hartford City, IN., Daughter - LeAn Marie (Husband, David) Gronowski, McCordsville, IN., Daughter - Cathy D. A service to celebrate Dannie’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2015 with  Rev. Scott McClain officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford City. Military rites will be conducted by the US Army.
