Beatrice A. Mann, 89, of Fishers, IN, formerly of Montpelier passed away  on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers in Fishers, IN.  She was born on August 2, 1926  in Youngstown, OH.  She married Max Mann on Wednesday, May 21, 1947.  Beatrice graduated from Montpelier High School.  She had formerly attended the Montpelier Methodist Church. She had worked for the Glove factory in Montpelier for many years where she had been a seamstress.  She continued the love of sewing thru the years and had made her children’s clothing and grandchildren’s costumes. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Bridge Club.

 

Loving Survivors Include: Daughter - Joy (Dennis) Jacob, Carmel, IN, Son - Rex (Connie) Mann, Mesa, AZ, Granddaughters - Amanda Frantz, Indianapolis, IN, Ashley Jacob, Indianapolis, IN, and Kayla Mann, Mesa, AZ,

 

 

She was preceded in death by her Father - Paul Weaver, Mother - Mary (Mahon) Weaver,

Husband - Max Mann, Brother - Richard Weaver, and Sister - Dorothy Pond.

 

 

There will be a private calling at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Friday, August 05, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

 

A private graveside service will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton, IN.  following the calling on Friday, August 05, 2016 with Keith Williams officiating.

Kathryn S. (Goble) Stone

Kathryn S. (Goble) Stone, 78, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 5:53 AM on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Bridgewater Centre in Hartford City, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, March 02, 1938, in Blackford County. She married Donovan Thomas Stone on Wednesday, September 04, 2002 in Hartford City, IN.  Kathryn graduated from Montpelier High School. She then attended Ball State University. Kathryn had been a 2nd grade teacher for Southern Wells School where she also retired from. She was a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association She was an avid Hamm Radio Operator for KC9GFB. Kathryn enjoyed Archery, Tomahawk, Shooting, and Muzzle loading.

She is survived by her Husband - Donovan Thomas Stone, Montpelier, IN.


She was preceded in death by her Parents- Kenneth and Margaret (Leaird) Goble.


Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home on Sunday July 24, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour before the service Monday.

A service to celebrate Kathryn’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home on July 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dewey Zent officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery in Eaton.

Thelma M. Kongar, 63, of Berne, IN, passed away at 2:36 PM on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Jay County Hospital in Portland, IN.  She was born on Friday, November 07, 1952, in Portland, IN. Thelma attended Bryant High School. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Geneva. She enjoyed working with flowers and her beloved dog, Max.

Donna "Joan" (Williams) Parr

Donna Joan Parr, 78, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2016 after an extended illness. Born July 19, 1938, in Portland, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Alta (Beaber). She was the beloved wife of the late Larry Parr. Joan was simply an extraordinary woman: strong-willed, smart, resilient, independent, funny, determined and loving. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and her friends. She derived the most pleasure from being with her family and friends and remaining active and engaged in their lives. She was a beacon of generosity, goodness and love to all who knew her and this world will certainly be a little less bright without her sweet and vibrant spirit.  She will be greatly missed by all that she touched as her influence and love has stretched generations.

Survivors include her children; daughter, Kim (Randy) Davis of Churubusco; son, Tim (Melinda-Foss) Parr of Geneva; daughter, Dawn (Randy) Patterson of Fort Wayne; daughter, Valerie (Troy) Panning of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Janet K. Thomas and Linda J. Hake and her brother, Chester Rex Williams.

Joan’s family extends their most heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Mark Delbello, M.D., Dr. David Zimmerman, M.D., and their staff, and all of the nurses at Parkview Regional Medical Center who provided compassionate and excellent care.

Betty M. Anderson

Betty M. Anderson, 91, of Geneva, formerly of Angola, IN, passed away at 6:35 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Swiss Village in Berne, IN.  She was born on Wednesday, September 10, 1924, in Jay Co., IN.  She married her first husband, Wendell Butcher on April 18, 1944. She married her 2nd husband, Samuel Anderson on August 19, 1950. Betty was a member of the High St. United Methodist Church. She was a member of the VFW of Geneva, the Moose, and the American Legion of Portland. She was owner/operator of Andy’s Tavern for 20 years in Geneva.

 

Loving Survivors Include: Son - Michael (wife, Betty Lou) Anderson, Reflon, PA, Daughter-in-law - Bette (Butcher) Thomson, Hudson, IN, Grandchildren - Keith Butcher, Jacob Anderson, Katie Anderson, Great Grandchildren - Aubree Butcher, and Chase Butcher.

 

 

She was preceded in death by her 1st Husband - Wendell Butcher, 2nd Husband – Samuel Anderson,

Mother - Eunice (Corle) Uhrick, Father - Clarence Uhrick, Son - Sam Butcher, Sister - Patricia  Frank, and Brothers - Herman Uhrick, Cree Uhrick, Jay Uhrick, Kirby Uhrick.
