Mary Louise Pusey, 86, a resident of Geneva, passed away at Chalet Village in Berne in the afternoon of Wednesday December 10, 2014. She was born on November 19, 1928 and was the youngest of 5 daughters born to Edward and Bertha Pusey of Geneva. Her parents and her sisters, Ruth Pusey Hunt, Marjorie Pusey Hedrick, Naomi Pusey Buckey, and Leah Pusey all preceded her in death.
Mary graduated from Geneva High School in 1946 and worked for various local and regional companies. She worked as a secretary and office manager at Geneva Milling Company, Amos Schwartz Construction Company and Central Soya in Decatur and Fort Wayne.
She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Geneva, which was an important place in her heart and life. She has a beautiful voice and sang in the choir. She also served as Treasurer of the church for many years.
She is survived by two nieces, Elaine Hunt Figert of Longview, Texas, and Susan Buckey Carter of Huntington, Indiana and a nephew, Larry Hunt of Huntingtown, Maryland.
She will be buried alongside her mother Bertha and sister Leah at Westlawn Cemetary in Geneva.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in the Spring when, God willing, some of her far-flung relatives are able to travel.
