Ruby Campbell, 97, of Geneva, IN, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer, IN.  She was born on Thursday, November 02, 1916, in New Castle, IN.  She married Kieth Campbell on Monday, November 09, 1936 in Greenfield, IN.


She is survived by: Son – Fredrick Jay (Wife, Frances) Campbell, Indianapolis, IN., Son - Howard Kimm (Wife, Donna) Campbell, Bloomington, IN, Two Sisters - Helen Overbay, Troy, OH and Bonnie Cox, Greenville, OH., and four grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her: Husband- Kieth Campbell, Son- Kieth Campbell, her Parents- Charles and Catherine Timmons, and several Brothers and Sisters. 

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at the Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

 

A service to celebrate Ruby's life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2014 with Pastor Michele Isch officiating.  Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Berne.

Charles F. Jones, 84, of Marion, IN, formerly of Van Buren, IN, passed away at 11:30 PM on Monday, March 03, 2014 at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN.  He was born on Wednesday, December 11, 1929, in Marion, IN, the son of the late Glenn T. & Gladys P. (Van Ness) Jones.  Charles married Janet Covey Jones on Thursday, September 22, 1949 in Marion, IN.  Charles had driven semi until 1980.  He then worked at East Brook North Elementary School as Custodian for many years before retiring.  Charles had served on the Van Buren Volunteer Fire Department.  He enjoyed camping and being outdoors as well as spending time with family and friends.  Charles and Janet had formerly attended the Van Buren Nazarene Church and had been attending the Colonial Oaks Church at the Colonial Oaks Retirement Community since moving there in 2011.  Survivors Include: Wife - Janet L. Henry H.K. Schwartz, 69, of Geneva, IN, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 He was born on Friday, October 06, 1944, in Adams County, IN, to Henry H. and Kate D. Schwartz.   He was married to Adeline Eicher Schwartz who preceded him in death. Henry was a member of the Old Order Amish.

Vivian P. Springer

Vivian P. Springer, 85, of rural Pennville (Balbec), IN, passed away at 1:11 PM on Saturday, March 08, 2014 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, IN.  She was born on Monday, December 10, 1928, in Portland, IN.  She married Forrest "Buss" Springer on Monday, May 02, 1949 in Portland, IN; he passed away on February 03, 2000.  Vivian was a 1946 graduate of Poling High School in Jay County. She was the Co-Owner of Springer Sales & Service in Balbec for many years. Vivian was a member of the Millard Brown American Legion Post #156 Auxiliary in Montpelier, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Geneva and the Scottish Rite Auxiliary in Fort Wayne. She attended the Gilead Chuch in Balbec.

 

Survivors include: Daughter - Vicki Springer (Companion, Rob McCormick), Portland, IN., Son - Gary Springer (Companion, DeeDee Schumaker), Pennville, IN., Daughter - Linda Springer (Companion, Eddie Walton), Pennville, IN., Sister - Janet Mann, Wapakoneta, OH., Sister - Vera Mann, Geneva, IN., Brother - Jimmie Slack, Bryant, IN., Grandchildren - Nathan Springer, Pennville, IN., Jason Springer, Bluffton, IN., Jamie Miller, Ridgeville, IN., Gary Davis, Dunkirk, IN and 8 Great Grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her: Husband - Forrest "Buss" Springer, Father - Earl Slack,

Mother - Mabel (Abbott) Slack and One Grandchild - Greg Davis.

 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will take place in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.

Jesse L. Rogers, 82, of Warren, IN, passed away at 12:45PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ.  He was born on Friday, August 28, 1931, in Blackford County, IN.  He married Kathryn Janet Waltz on Sunday, February 28, 1954 in the Zion Lutheran Church in Hartford City, IN.  Jesse was a longtime Wells & Blackford County Dairy Farmer before moving to Warren. He graduated in 1949 from Montpelier High School and had attended Purdue University. He had been a Wells County Commissioner for 4 years, served as the Wells County Farm Bureau President, served on the Wells County Health Board, the Wells County Zoning Board and was a member of the Gideon’s and the Zion Lutheran Church in Hartford City. Jesse had honorably served in the US Army 1st Cavalry Division. He and his wife had wintered in Mesa, Arizona since 2005.

 

Survivors include: Wife - Kathryn Janet (Waltz) Rogers, Warren, IN., Daughter - Karen Sue (Husband, Guy) Studebaker, Rossville, IN., Daughter - Louise Annette (Husband, Gregory) Reynolds, Monroe, IN., Daughter - Loretta Kay McCormick, Kokomo, IN., Daughter - Marlene Jo (Husband, Jay) Redding, Fort Wayne, IN., 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his: Father - Walter Oscar Rogers, Mother - Opal Ethel (Schwarzkopf) Rogers and Two Brothers - David Paul Rogers and Merle Lloyd Rogers.

 

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Friday, March 07, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will also be viewing at the Zion Lutheran Church 308 S. Monroe St Hartford City on Saturday, March 08, 2014 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, one hour prior to the service.

 

A service to celebrate Jesse’s life will be at Zion Lutheran Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 08, 2014 with Rev. David Fleener officiating.  Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Montpelier.  Military graveside rites will be conducted by the US Army.
