Sarah L. Garrett, 83, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 2:18 AM on Friday, October 25, 2013 at IU Health-Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. She was born on Wednesday, January 29, 1930, in Wells County, IN. She married Charles M. Garrett on Sunday, November 07, 1948 in Keystone, IN. Sarah graduated from Chester Center High School. She and her late husband did many things during their lifetime; farming, and were former owners of Hartford Automotive, Scotch Mist, and multiple trucking companies. In her free time Sarah enjoyed woodworking, painting, and gardening. She was heavily involved with the First Baptist Church located in Montpelier, IN. But above all else Sarah loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her Husband - Charles M. Garrett, Father - Roy E. Stinson, Mother - Mae Kingen, Daughter - Lisa M. Shilling, and Sister - Martha Haines.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM. A service to celebrate Sarah’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 with the Pastor Bob Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery in Montpelier.
