Thomas Paul Gearheart, 66, of Hartford City, IN, passed away at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, February 08, 2017 at IU Health Blackford Hospital in Hartford City, IN. He was born on Thursday, December 21, 1950, in Wells County, IN. He married Joyce (Miller) Gearheart on Friday, July 03, 1970 at the Asbury Church. Thomas was a 1969 graduate of Southern Wells High School. He then attended Ball State University for 2 years. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and served for 20 years. Thomas worked in the Weather Maintenance while in the Air Force. He attended and was also on the Cemetery Board of Directors Association at the Asbury Church. He worked as an Electrical Tech for the Indianapolis Post Office. He was a member of the Millard Brown Post #156 American Legion, and the Five Point School. Thomas enjoyed playing cards, woodworking and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W Windsor St Montpelier on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
A service to celebrate his life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2017 with the Rev. Phillip Freel officiating. Interment will follow in the Asbury Cemetery in Montpelier. Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force and the Millard Brown America Legion.
