Y. Ross Johnson, Bryant, Indiana died at 7:54 pm, Wednesday, March 29 2017, Decatur, Indiana. He was born March 5, 1929, in Madison County to Charles and Hazel (Dunlap) Johnson. He graduated from Mendon Union High School, Ohio, and Cedarville College, Ohio. He was a lifetime farmer and taught Elementary school for 21 ½ years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Geneva.
Surviving are his five children: Tamela (Terry) Bollenbacher of Flora, IN., Cynthia (Paul) Misner of Greenfield, IN., Douglas (Carolyn) Johnson of Portland, IN., Dr. Stacy (Jeanine) Johnson of Martinsville, IN., and Cassandra (Mark) VanZant of Zionsville, IN.; Fifteen grandchildren; Fourteen great-grandchildren; two siblings, Leon (Anna) Johnson of Bluffton, IN, Patty (Bob) Adams of Oldsmar, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and six brothers.
Friends may call on April 7, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the First United Methodist Church in Geneva, Indiana. Private services for the immediate and extended family will be held on April 8 with Rev. Dr. Dean Elam officiating. Burial will take place immediately following the service at the Westlawn Cemetery in Geneva.
